Leeds United Football Club
Leeds United has the proudest history of all Yorkshire football clubs, and remains the last club to win the English top division title while managed by an Englishman. That 1992 title success was Leeds United's third English title triumph. In addition the club has a tremendous European pedigree and reached the semi-finals of the Champions League as recently as 2001. In May 2010, Leeds United returned to the second tier of the English game after gaining promotion from League One in front of over 38,000 fans at Elland Road.

Leeds Metropolitan University is one of the largest universities in the UK, with 3,000 staff and over 30,000 students. Yorkshire Gold Business Club
Yorkshire Gold Business Club is funded by Yorkshire Forward, the Regional Development Agency and has been set up to help Yorkshire and Humber companies gain real advantages and win contracts for major projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, £16bn Cross Rail project, The Commonwealth Games, Transport for London upgrades and other opportunities arising from "The Decade of Sport". The club aims to ensure that the Yorkshire and the Humber region benefits from these major opportunities and can provide additional support to companies to help them win contracts.
